Lovely London Night

It is always strange meeting new people. It's even stranger when you meet people for the "second time" years later in a foreign country. I am staying at my new friend Brendan's flat here in London. He has been more than accommodating and incredibly kind to me. We met back in high school when we were 16. I was reminded of this yesterday- apparently it escaped me. He was at our mutual friend's house (who I was dating at the time) when I came over baring cereal; Oat Squares to be exact. My boyfriend at the time had never heard of this delicious breakfast treat so I was trying to convert him into a Quaker follower. At least this is what I am told. I only remember Brendan from a Fourth of July party a few years ago. I love that he remembers that 8-year-old story though. I guess I have always tried to shove that blue box down people's throats- figuratively as well as quite literally.

Last night we went to Princess Diana's former favorite Pizzeria in London: Da Mario's. Thanks to Brendan for asking the waiter to take our picture (per my request).

Then we went to a pub! I must admit that it was my first time at one! It was one of those "where in the world am I?" moments. I love that feeling when you can't believe you're standing where you're standing.

Then I dragged Brendan to 500 Days of Summer- cannot get enough of that movie.

It was a lovely London night.
